ABOUT US
Proffit's Grove Baptist Church is a quaint inviting church of Spirit led Bible believers. They are dedicated to bringing people to the saving knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in a warm family environment. Pastor Delmar James, is a dedicated preacher of the Word of God and has been serving Proffit's Grove as its Pastor for over 40 years of humble service.

Our vision is to serve God and serve our community. Preach and teach the Word of God in a spirit led, Bible believing environment while welcoming all visitors to worship and serve.
CHURCH HISTORY
The people of Upper Meat Camp started holding revivals in their community starting about 1900. As these revivals became more and more popular several people got together to start planning a church. William Proffit, L.A. Watson, John Greene and others assumed the responsibility of building the church and J.C. Proffit donated the site for both the church and cemetery. The building was finished in 1915 and at that time the church was a missionary arm of Meat Camp Baptist Church.
Proffit’s Grove Baptist Church was organized as an independent entity on November 27, 1921. L.A. Wilson was elected as Profitt’s Grove Baptist Church’s first pastor, pastoring and serving the church from 1921-1929 and again in 1934. The total number of members at that time was 133 people. According to Three Forks Baptist Association records, rounded to the nearest year, the following pastors have served as pastor of Proffit’s Grove Baptist Church:
